I disapprove of what you say, BUT…

disapprove of what you say

I had an interesting conversation with a coworker the other day, not a long one but I was left dumbfounded that people hold these beliefs. He and a fellow coworker were watching a video of the Smothers Brothers singing the “No No Song” with Ringo Starr back in the 1970s, must have been YouTube. I had mentioned that he, right after Bruce Springsteen, cancelled his concert in North Carolina due to the passage of the House Bill 2 (aka, “the Bathroom Bill”.) He, my coworker, said, “Good for him!” I asked, “What?”…and the conversation went down hill from there…nothing angry or disparaging, but I did lose some respect for him, as I know he is a father.

moralsI do try to stay away from blatantly political subjects; however, this is also a moral subject. While I do believe everyone has the right to say what he or she believes, even though I disagree with their position. But as a parent, dear God help us! We are given blessings called wives, or husbands, and children. It is my firm belief that we are to protect them from harm and danger, provided it is within our abilities. My coworker’s view is that everyone is equal! My view is, that is a great sentiment but not everyone is equal…a child is not equal to an adult! I firmly believe that there are obligations placed upon us as parents to protect our children and families, because there is such great evil out there and because biblethey are some of the greatest gifts given to us by God. Does this make me right and him wrong, by no means; however, the bible is where I obtain my ethics on morality. But if you are not a believer in the Christ…then why would you place your ethical training to a book which you do not believe or hold the message to be true? Lets face it, not everyone believes, but then again this is precisely why we are mandated to “go and make disciples of all nations” (ref: Matthew 28:16-20)

It is through knowledge which makes us aware of what we do as being good or bad, moral & ethical or evil & vile. We need to remember that it is “through the law we become conscious of our sin.” (ref: Romans 3:20) Also, “Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come.” (ref: Galatians 3:19) The basis of the Law is to let us know what is right and wrong.

Consider the Code of Federal Regulations for the U.S. which possess such an innumerable lawnumber of laws, because the Congress increases the law (on average) 450-500 new laws per year. In 1980, there 50 volumes with approximately (low estimate) of 23,000 pages. When a people become so enamored and overwhelmed by the new laws and such a voluminous number of laws, how then are they to comply with such requirements??? On average, each and every American is in violation of 10-15 misdemeanors and 1-5 felonies…without ever being aware of it. This was the problem in the time of Jesus, where the Pharisees and the Sadducees, teachers of the law, were compounding the matters with the fact that they deduced many corollaries to laws that were not written. Such as, for instance, how far to walk from home to the Temple was not work, but go one inch further and you were in violation of the law and needed to sacrifice in order to atone for your sin of violating the Sabbath.

Getting back to my coworker’s belief that all people are equal, would you be concerned for your daughter’s safety, if she went into the women’s bathroom and a man (by order of legislative right) walked in behind her into the same women’s bathroom? Consider the following:

Man strangles girl in bathroom, Many incidents of men filming women in bathrooms, Man accused of taking photo of boy, and the list could go on and on…

In my opinion, these incidents are like ants, termites, or cockroaches, if you see or hear about one there are potentially thousands of incidents that are unreported or unnoticed! Consider the recent report by Elijah Wood and pedophilia in Hollywood, big surprise there! Corey Feldman made a report back in the early 1990s, but nothing was done. And again, the list could go on and on!

Evil can go on everywhere, but if we can make it safer – especially for our children and others – shouldn’t we make that attempt? Don’t get me wrong as I am not trying to go on some liberal law making, gun grabbing slant; but there are ways to protect our children and families by setting up the necessary groundwork either by creating laws or setting up the Woe_to_youenvironment that protects people from being further victimized for protecting their families. Just take a look at many of the laws now where the Congress has exempted themselves, Senators, and other prominent members of the government from the laws that will be required of us to follow..? I believe even Jesus spoke of such things, not specifically but generally, in His diatribe against the Teachers of the Law in His comment, “And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them...” (ref: Luke 11:37-54)

By creating a new line, or image, of reality you create a new relativity upon which to base your feelings. Feelings are great in their proper place but are not intended to rule or govern a people. Nor are feelings the best basis upon which to base decisions concerning the creating of laws, or deciding morals, or ethics. While feelings are coined as a moral high ground, they are definitely not, as feelings are not morals. Feelings are something child-aisha-Muhammadinherently relative to the individual, not a group; and it is the individual who possesses the ever present rights that God has blessed and bestowed upon us.

To say that “all are equal” is like saying that Muhammad and Aisha were equal, or a 10 year old child of either sex is equal to that of a 30 something adult of either sex, etc. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but not everyone is equal! A simple fact of life. A man who identifies with being a woman without any cosmetic changes is not equal to a woman of the same age bracket! Even with those cosmetic surgical changes, HE is still not equal to a woman transgender-bathroomof similar age. Why? Well, glad you asked…HIS DNA did not change any little bit! Though you have had all those surgical changes made, in God’s eyes you are still a man both because of God’s intent for you on this earth and because your DNA has not changed in the least little bit; even though they may be changing your hormones medicinally.

You may say what you will. You may believe whatever you desire. You may think to your heart’s content. However, this does not change God’s desire for you in this life or the next! God wants you to believe in Him, in all that Jesus had done for you – shedding His blood for your sins – AND God wants you to follow His will, His word, His commands, the Godly life He created you for!

There are others out there who believe this to be wrong, what are your thoughts?

You only need to hear the first few minutes.
There is more out there, but you can do that research. I have no desire to overwhelm anyone with these clips. God made you, to believe you are woman trapped in a man’s body is to say, or infer, that God made a mistake…when in actuality, it was we, or you, that made the mistake. IF God exists, and God is perfect, then God does not make mistakes!

Until the next time, May God Richly Bless You My Beloved!
