So, What Did I Do Wrong?

so-what-picOr…what did I do right?

Are these not valid questions that we should be asking our Creator when things are not going our way? Even when things are going our way, we tend not to get what we ask for…but why is that? Perhaps we are being tested, our character, our morals, our values, that which we believe in, our faith, and the list could go on infinitely longer – couldn’t it?

Do we truly apply what we learn from the bible? From Jesus? Our Pastors? Do we put those lessons into practice in our lives? Do we seek new ways to infuse those new lessons into our daily lives? Do we seek out new ways to add others into the kingdom of God?

practice-what-you-preachDo we do this or do we advertise ourselves as the hypocrites everyone expects of us?

There is none righteous, no, not one;” ~Romans 3:10

There is none who does good, No, not one.” ~Psalm 14:3

We have been forewarned that no one does good, only God! Yet, we as man, have a tendency to compare ourselves to people of the caliber of Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung when depicting ourselves as good. It is rather self serving when we do this. Guess what? God compares us to what He commanded us to do. He compares us to what He desires of us and the fact that He expects obedience of us. Why would we compare ourselves to anyone who does not do good? Why can’t we compare ourselves to God, the Father, or Jesus, the Son of God? Jesus, being closer to us – in that He was a man and yet was perfect. Shouldn’t we use Jesus as a model of our behavior and actions here on earth?

If we were to act as Jesus – remember: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

wwjdPerhaps, if properly applied in our daily lives, this would be the most prolific and helpful questions that could and would guide our actions, in to the proper direction! What do you think? Could you think of a more helpful question that could guide your daily actions?

By focusing on God and what he wants of us – our purpose – our reason for existence – would this not yield to us a profound existence? Would this no yield the answers we needed for our purpose, by guiding us in the direction of a more righteous and moral life? Perhaps, even availing us to help others in the process of us living our lives?

It is my opinion, that God does not just want us to live, but for us to do something special with our lives; which would create a higher purpose for our reason to live…living our lives for God, for Jesus, through the Holy Spirit…if we would just listen and pay attention! But that would take time away from our precious lives by denying our being able to watch television, as well as other things to distract us from our normal lives. We all have, at least, one thing that distracts our attention from God, but are we willing to give that up in order to follow our Creator??? We should be seeking the things from above and not allow ourselves to be distracted with those things in the earthly realm. Don’t get me wrong, there is no problem watching television; but to do so from the time you get up until you go to work 4-5 hours later is a bit much – wouldn’t you say???

now-whatIs it not time to change the way you thing and act? Place God at the forefront of your mind, your marriage and relationship(s), place God over your entire life!

“For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” ~ Matthew 6:32-34 NKJV

Place God at the head of your lives and He will provide all that you could possibly want, need, or desire. That doesn’t mean there won’t be any bumps and problems along the way…for there is a tremendous learning curve with God!

May God Richly Bless You All!
