Once Saved, Always Saved? ~Part 2

I saw this on Facebook the other day and wasn’t quite certain how to respond; although, the overall context was skewed because it was cut down to a much shorter video.

The context given on the original Facebook post was about 2 minutes.  While everyone seems to obliterate any proper context to make their own point, yes – even Christians.  Like it was mentioned in the first part of this article that Bertrand Russell said, “The best argument against Christianity, are Christians.”

once saved always saved

What most people fail to realize is the fact that we ALL will have to answer for our sins andjudgement actions, for as the Psalmist did note:

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil

~Eccl 12:13-14 NKJV

So, in my opinion, even a large number of Christians will be surprised as to why they were not recognized by the King of Kings.  We will all be judged and we are all expected to follow God’s commandments.  Jesus mad it quite simple for all of us so that we didn’t need to memorize those pesky 10 Commandments by telling us two simple commandments:

“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” ~Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV

But I would also suggest studying up and memorizing the Commandments and the rest of the bible…just a thought.  Consider what the Lord’s brother, James, had told us:

“For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.” ~James 2:10

crucifixionWhich means that if you speak a little white lie to make someone feel more at ease while dying, you are just as guilty as a mass murderer.  Is that plain enough for you?  The warm and fuzzy God of the liberal agenda bible does not exist.  The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the ONLY true God who loved us so much that he gave us one final sacrificial lamb in Jesus, the Messiah, the Christ.  He died for our sins!  So many say it was the Jews, the Jewish leadership that subjected Jesus to be nailed to the cross for crucifixion.  In truth, it was you and I who caused Jesus our Lord to be crucified!  Take that and think long and hard upon it and the ramifications of such an action.

While television is great to make a point, in many instances, it is quite unrealistic.  For example, the scene where the POTUS berated the Radio Show hostess, a PhD, for sitting while everyone stood up for the POTUS.  This is the protocol everyone stands.  And really it doesn’t matter if it was liberal based or conservative based show, the same sort of thing would have been done.

Everyone misquotes the bible, whether we misquote the wording or the contextual association.  It happens to everyone; however, some constantly perform such faux pas and others purposely accomplish these mishaps of biblical proportions.  But the context of the bible, within this video clip, weren’t we told by Jesus (words in red, so I assert that these words are very important!):

“The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. ~Mark 2:27

And of course the part where he spoke of the homosexual issue from the Old Testament:

“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.” ~Leviticus 18:22

Was this issue not also spoken of in the New Testament & reiterated by the Apostle Paul:

“No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” ~1Cor 6:8-10 NKJV

At our Church, as with many other Christian Churches, our policy and belief is “LOVE THE SINNER, HATE THE SIN!”  In the end, we all know that God will judge everyone for everything that they have done.  We will each be held accountable for all of the good and all of the bad, as per the Psalmists words.

Although, Christians have a great gift for giving to help others, but also have the great gift of being the greatest of hypocrites through the judgement of others.  As part of the powers of reason and observation, consider the greatest of fundamentalist Christian groups I have ever read about who do nothing but judge by walking on the corpses of our dead westborosoldiers…Westboro Baptist Church protesters.  Am I judging them, no, that is God’s job.  I am highlighting their fundamentalist protesting, based upon what I’ve read in the papers and saw on the news programs to let you all be aware of the fact their expressing of their beliefs in such an unloving manner is not the TRUE Christian walk we are to follow.

I am certain you are asking yourselves just what is that TRUE Christian walk for our lives?  Well, here it is:

“He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”…When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” ~John 8:7,10-11 NKJV

IMG_2674You ask yourselves What Would Jesus Do?  That is what Jesus would do.  Let them know they are imperfect, There is a path to salvation by repentance of their sins, that they can be forgiven-all they need to do is ask, to yield their lives to God through Jesus, and to go and sin no more by living and emulating the life of Jesus.

May God richly bless you all!
